Etienne Lemay works in the areas of applied arts and design of the built environment for nearly twenty years. He holds a degree in graphic design, a degree in interior design, a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University.
Before establishing his practice in Montreal, Etienne has spent several years at Mackay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects in Halifax and Patkau Architects in Vancouver. Back in Quebec in 2013, worked at the Atelier Pierre Thibault in Quebec city and now focuses his energies towards the ecologicalarchitecture.
These past professional experiences have also led him to work in Montreal with
Jean-Pierre Viau:design and abroad, at the Agence Wilmotte in Paris, at Marchese Partners in Australiaand at Sangath, Balkrishna Doshi's office in India.
His interests have also led him to become involved with the Emori Joi
community in Kenya and that of Deslandes in Haiti, on research and development projects to improve the quality of life of communities and build on local traditional knowledge.
Etienne is a member of the OAQ, the OAA, the AIBC, the RAIC and IDC, is certified LEED, PassivHaus Designer and Passivhaus Tradesperson.
